| preventive
treatment
It may be an old adage but it’s certainly a very true one
when it comes to your teeth – prevention is better than cure.
I recommend that you come for a check up at least every sixth months,
so we can ensure your teeth, mouth and gums stay healthy.
Your check up
I believe very much in preventative dentistry
as catching problems early could save you from having to undergo
lengthy or expensive restorative treatments, whilst protecting your
teeth from the long term effects of tooth decay or gum disease,
both of which could result in you losing perfectly healthy teeth
if left untreated.
In addition, our highly qualified hygienist, Linda,
has worked alongside
me at the practice for over 25 years now and is an expert when it
comes
to helping you look after your teeth. Linda can advise you on all
aspects of oral health and preventative care, from the best way
to brush
and floss your teeth to the best diet for healthy teeth and gums.
If you would like to find out more about any aspect of oral health
or
preventative care you can contact Linda at the practice to arrange
an
initial consultation.
Mouth Cancer Screening
The earlier mouth cancer is detected, the more
successful treatment is likely to be, which is why we believe mouth
cancer screening is an essential part of our preventative service.
If you would like to talk to me about any concerns you may have
or you simply require further information, you are very welcome
to arrange a consultation with me or my colleague, Dr
Wilf Chan.
